You start with a frame, engine type, and tip. You obviously aren't going to have a store on an abandoned spaceship, so making your own weapons seems logical. It makes things seem a bit more realistic from a narrative perspective. The weapon crafting is probably the best change they've made since the beginning of the series. The two biggest changes are obviously the addition of co-op and the weapon crafting system. You're still blasting limbs off Necromorphs, you still have all of the available abilities as before, and you still utilize pretty much all the same weapons as before. The gameplay, for the most part, is identical to Dead Space 2, which is a good thing. Taking place 3 years after Dead Space 2, Isaac Clarke is once again drawn into another necromorph incident. I'm still impressed with it so far, but I can see the tide turning slowly. Many people are going to enjoy where the series has gone and others are going to hate it. By DrHyde | Review Date: FebruDead Space 3 is, unfortunately, a very polarizing game.
